Where I come from geothermal is the norm. It's more environmental, don't know about cost difference but the under floor heating sure is a big plus also.

I would check with a local energy authority or the companies themselves. From that information you can figure out the most sensible all the way round.

Everyone has different tastes I prefer radiators.I find under floor heating too dry.

if you have the option, you are lucky.
go for the most eco-friendly, which I can't see being anything involving oil.
