No. So what I like to break a few rules and show no regret. Maybe I'm in financial ruin and I totally don't care. Maybe I drive 120 in the school zones. So maybe I stab a few friends in the back to get ahead (literally).
Doesn't mean I'm a bad person, does it? No, I really don't think I'm a sociopath, I just think I'm afraid of commitment.

You can identify a sociopathic individual, by comparing their
behavior to Dr Hare's psychopathy checklist. You see the
term sociopath and pyschopath are interchangeable.
You can find this list on the net and it includes such things
as, being manipulative and conning for personal gain. e.g. sex
or money. It also includes such things as fake charm and
charisma. I believe you can score up to 40 points on this
checklist and 30 or more, meets the criteria for sociopathy.
If you don't want the hassle of doing this though, a rough
guide if you were trying to decide if you yourself are
sociopathic is to ask yourself the following questions.
1. How do you feel when you see images of extreme violence
or torture and other evil acts. A normal person would be taken
a back and feel upset etc, whereas a sociopath would
feel nothing or very little.
2. How fearful are you in dangerous situations.
Normal people again, have a large reaction in terms of
sweating, feeling sick etc. A sociopath on the other hand
has little or no fear.
Obviously it's difficult if you are sociopathic to ask you if
you have a normal response to these situations, as how
would you know what normal actually feels like, you've
never felt it. Basically though, you are looking for a big
reaction to these situations rather than nothing or very
little.
