I ordered a camera from stargatephoto.com at there sale price of $219.00 and received a conformation. Later I got a phone call from them stating that that price was for a refurbished camera and that if I wanted a new one it would be $50 more. There were other issues but they ended up adding $147.00 to my bill. There web site says they "sell only brand new, factory-fresh merchandise". When I called about this and asked to cancel my order, I was told that he was'nt going to cancel my order and hung up on me.

You can find the registered owner of any website by going to www.whois.com and entering the website address. When it tells you it is taken, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on whois lookup. I would complain to the credit card company, your own state attorney general consumer fraud division and the attorney general of the state in which the website owner resides (if USA). There are also blogs where you can post about your own experience with a particular vendor. Good luck.
