I never could figure this phrase out.

When someone says "Don't humor me" it usually means don't say what you think they want to hear. For example,

"Do you think my butt looks big in these jeans?"
"No! Not at all! You look as skinny as Nicole Richie."
"Don't humor me."

Basically meaning that there's no way the first person looks as skinny as Nicole Richie and she knows it.

That statement means don't say things just to shut the other person up or make statements that are not true to make people feel better.

it means tell the person the truth, dont say something that you think they want to hear

it means people dont want u to joke around with them or try to make them feel better

basically there in a pissy mood or don't want to deal with annoying crap
