She deffinitly looks like a welsh pony, A maybe B. Or at least a half welsh. Here is a link to welsh pony pictures http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?ei=UTF-8&fr=slv8-yphoto&p=Welsh%20ponies&fr2=tab-web She deffinitly has the little dished face like them and the roaning that's pretty common in some. How tall is she?? That would probably define wether she could be a A or B. Here is a link to info about A and B section

B: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_pony_%28Section_B%29

Look for a pony that has been there, done it and got the rosettes to prove it. Breed and looks are irrelevant, it should be safety first for a beginner and certainly for a child. Get out to your local pony club rallies and ask around for any lead rein or first ridden ponies that have been outgrown by their owners. An old riding school pony would also do the job. I doubt you would get a TB or arab small enough for a 4 foot rider anyway LOL.

Well maybe she has this prance going on because of the hoof condition. She has a long toe. I will say she is part Arabian and Paint cross cuz the high white on her legs and the broad blaze the covers the corner of her lips to her chin and also the white on her belly and hip which is similiar to the whiting on Sabino paints. She has the dish in her head and her gait like an Arabian and she is shorter but has some bulkiness as the Paint. How old is she?

This pony looks like a cross between a hackney (judging by the slightly dished face and feathers) and possibly a shetland (judging by the body type being slightly bulkier than a purebred hackney and the colouring). Very cute pony! Looks like a real sweety! Happy Trails.

Welsh or Welsh cross. If its a purebred, it would probably fall in the Section A or Section B depending on how tall the pony is.

she doesn't look to me like she has anything to do with a arab. i think she looks like more of a new breed shetland or POA or hackney or welsh. maybe a mix of any of them. she could be purebred but it's doubtful. i don't think the papers or bloodlines matter so much as the pony itself! very, very, very, cute!

With that head definitely a half-Arab. Your added comment that she "prances" makes me sure.
