If it has no visible head (except darker mandibles) and no legs, it is a fly larva, most likely Brachycera, the most common sub order of flies (house flies, blow flies, etc.). It is difficult to determine the exact species, or even family for that matter without seeing it under a scope with a key. It is most likely some species of flesh fly or blow fly, their larvae tend to be very mobile, althought they typically dont travel very far, so the source of your maggot problem may be or possibly was not too long ago, just outside the area where they are coming in by. If they depleted their food resource, typically rotting flesh or dung, they will sometimescrawl away in search of more food....

hope this helps!

I do believe that it is a fly maggot. Find what it is feeding off of and dispose of it.
