Moved from a 2 bed / 1 bath 1040 sq ft bungalow in the Crenshaw District of L. A.; paid $150,000 for it four years ago. Sold it for $432,500 in August. Moved to Bismarck, ND (Yeah, I know...freaking cold!). Bought a 2500 sq ft home on a 10,000 sq ft lot, 4 beds / 3 baths / 3 car garage for $189,000. Crime rate one of the lowest in the nation, unemployment at 3% or less.

I paid $48,000 for my 800 sq. ft. house in rural Missouri near a college town. I'm sure I could sell it for $65,000.
