Moved from a 2 bed / 1 bath 1040 sq ft bungalow in the Crenshaw District of L. A.; paid $150,000 for it four years ago. Sold it for $432,500 in August. Moved to Bismarck, ND (Yeah, I know...freaking cold!). Bought a 2500 sq ft home on a 10,000 sq ft lot, 4 beds / 3 baths / 3 car garage for $189,000. Crime rate one of the lowest in the nation, unemployment at 3% or less.

I live in a suburb about 30 miles south west of Chicago in IL in a fabulous school district and great community. I have a 2700 sf upgraded home, 4 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath, full basement 2 car garage, living room, dining room, family room, on 1/2 an acre purchased for $165000.00 six years ago, but now worth $265,000.00. Our subdivision has 3 pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, exercise facility, clubhouse and more!

we are 16 miles drive from downtown Houston Tx. a five minute walk to city limits.
a 4 bed room 2 bath attached garge 2car 2300 sq ft on 1/4 acre appraised at 127500.
in TX we have land so prices will not go the way of CA

What are you trying to brag about how much you are in debit? Do not worry you be more upside down than most people whole house will cost. In a year or so you will pray to hit zero. Think about it the bubble is breaking big time.just look.

I paid $48,000 for my 800 sq. ft. house in rural Missouri near a college town. I'm sure I could sell it for $65,000.
