Yes, Ive been Watching Tom Cruise for years.
Seriously, yes, Rupert Everette is one of my favorite actors, but unfortunatley he has more or less been stereotyped as the gay best friend. BD Wong from Law and Order is also an exceptional actor, although never in very prominant roles. Peter O'tool, Richard Chamberlain, Ian McClellon, and others from an older generation have not seen a marked decrease in film roles since coming out. Of course they are too old to get the leading man roles in a love story, but as a straight man, I would have an open minf about a younger gay man in a prominant "straight role"

yes. people's ability to act is not based on whether they are gay or straight. That is like asking, "Would you let a doctor who was gay perform emergency surgery on you if you were dying. They are probably more qualified than the hetero.

What does the sexuality of the actor have to do with their performance in playing a role? None I would say.

If you've seen any of Rock Hudson's movies, you already have. And though his *studio* kept his homosexuality away from the public, all of Hollywood knew about it and didn't care. He didn't keep it quiet, his studio did.

There have been many others...welcome to the real world.

Yeah, what difference does it make? Alot of actors portray characters that are nothing like them. That's why they call it "acting".

well its hilarious to see people with diff. sexual orientation play something outside of their character...like for examples...i saw Taye diggs(a black str8 actor) play gay on a gay sitcom..and i thought it was funny to see him to do..because it was so not like him...
