Whatever their motives I do believe it is in their interest to do the best for us.It seems like there is a large number of people out there that think they are out to get us. I dont believe anything unless I know it to be factual, so what evidence is there that the government are just out to stuff us?

Like you, I want to believe that there are some people in the government who want to do good things just because it is the right thing to do. But the process is very complicated, and there are many bad apples. I think that the saying 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em' must have originated in the government. Power does strange things to people, and people who want it, gravitate to politics. You will see that the best interests of the people take a backseat to special interests (corporations with lots of money). Politicians have to get elected, and campaigns are expensive- so the corporations that support them expect to have their interests met. Still, I keep hoping that through it all, maybe some of our needs will be met, inadvertently, at least. So, to answer your question, people mistrust leaders who constantly find loopholes in the system. Our government was set up with the best of intentions but there will always be those who exploit and twist it to meet their selfish needs.

hello, I am one of those that don't trust the government anymore. Not because others don't, but because of what i see.

Think, we are supposed to be the most powerful nation on the earth. So why is everything so messed up? I really worry about the future of all our children and grandchildren.

the terrorist are not going away. they are recruiting with all their might now. How come we can't get Osoma bin laden? He was the target, and now we are "stuck" in Iraq. I know Suddam was nuts, but he's been out and were still there. It is not going to end any time soon.

People are screaming about illegal aliens, and if the government really wanted to, they could stop it. "Obviously they don't want to." Instead they are working on a plan to build a highway from mexico to canada.

Look up Security and Prosperity Partnership of America
and.....North American union.....
and.....Amero.............................A monetary system like the Euro.

We are going to loose our sovereinty, not keep it.

That is what makes America a special place to live in.

That is just the beggining.

I knew that the system was corrupt when i was 15 and two men got away with trying to murder me because one guys parents worked on the police force. They then started horrible rumors about my Dad, took me away from my family, and covered the entire thing up. Ever since then, i have been hypervigilent about authority and those with any power, and watch. Make up your own mind. We have more laws, than any nation in the world.

They are using fear to take away our security. so they will track everything with RFID, what you buy, where you live, when you leave, where you go. And they are and will tell you soon, to stick a chip in your skin "verichip" to keep safe. i have done the research. it won't keep us safer from anything. it will lead to a totalitarian one world government eventually. Look out there, it has been being put in place decades ago.. Every where you look you are loosing your privilages "especially" if you are middle class, working poor, or out of work. it is everywhere...just look around. We are loosing our freedoms in the name of security.

It really pisses me off, that the veterans who fought and died, or got disabled for life, have to watch what they fought for go down the drain. they should not have "one need, not met." EVER!

I find that people mistrust the government most are those who don’t understand how government works… I’m fine with the US government as a whole.. There are a few politicians and elected officials I don’t trust, but that because their past actions…

To all the complainers all I have to say is...
Shut up and VOTE!

vote smart - get the facts... be patient it’s a little slow/busy one day before election day…

no, I have always respected the government and obey the law. BUT I do have certain areas of the law that I totally disagree with. Like why is it a married woman has no legal right to collect on a bad check she got from her husband?? He can steal from me so long as we are married???? The law says "we are seen as one" in GA. So if we are "one" why is he afforded so much individual PRIVACY when I inquire if he has a scam health insurance policy with his ex-wife of 3 years ago?
The whole unfair story is in my question under Insurance. Go see

If one head of state is persuaded by another to provide forces for an illegal invasion of another country for the benefit of big business and he has to distort the evidence to persuade his parliament and his country to go along with it in an act of gross dishonesty which will lead to thousands of innocent people dying, then they are out to stuff you pal.
