There are several ways to get around this-you can burn your stuff onto CD-RW (so you can re-use them), but I found this one the easiest in the long run. Here's what you do:

go to: start>set program acess and defaults>
it should come up "choose a configuration">custom>click the arrow and it will drop down.
Scroll down a bit and you will come to "choose a default media player" choose iTunes.
If you already have limewire, then go to the top tab "tools">options>player>uncheck the box that says to use limewire player>restart your computer.

Now all your songs will be in iTunes format and you don't have to worry about converting anything. If you've downloaded something that is strictly for WMP, it will not change, it will stay as WMp and you will have to "import" that one. Just download from limewire, double click the song and iTunes opens up, drag and drop to your playlist.

To import all in one swift move, go to where your music is downloaded (you can find that by going to limewire>tools>saving)
and create a folder and drag all your music files into the folder. Then go to iTunes>file>add folder to library>a screen should open up for you to browse-click the folder that you just created.

In your limewire setting/options, there is an iTunes setting where you can select to have limewire automatically add your songs to your iTunes library

Here's the Limewire User guide pages:

open up Itunes and import the list of music from your limeware. There is a section.

while the above answer is true, i can't think of a more efficient way to try to get myself nailed for piracy.
