If i have just recently conceived is it safe tohave a small operation under general aenesthetic?

I need the op badly and have been waiting many, many months for it. I do not know if i want to have this child yet.
My doctor doesnt know i am pregnant... neither does my fella.

What will happen if i go ahead with the operation?

Hi having a anaesthetic while pregnant is safe but you need to let your consultant know ,as he may want to give you another sort off anaesthetic instead off being completly put asleep. Also they may want to keep an eye on the unborn baby while your asleep too.Good Luck

Your doctor needs to know that you are pregnant. That's all there is to it. Some anaesthetics are safe for pregnant women, and others are not. Likewise, some operations are intrinsically unsafe for pregnant women. Call up your doctor and let them know what's going on, and the two of you can discuss your options.

The first thing you should to is to let your doctor know that you're pregnant. This is vital to the health of the life growing within you. It could also have health ramifications for you. Only a physician can advise you here. Also, it would be a wise move to let your partner in on this.

probably nothing but it is not advisable to have a GA in the early months of pregnancy. You will be given lots of different drugs during anaesthesia & no one can be sure of the effects on your baby. You must get medical advice.

things should be fine. I knew someone who had a brain tumor while she was pregnant, and they had her on all kinds of meds, and put her under during surgery. The baby turned out fine.
