I have had lots of cats in my life, some raised from kittenhood, some adults. I finally found that if I refuse to play with them like that when they are young, they are less likely to "play" like that when they get older and stronger, and it is not so fun for the human.

Hard to resist though, isn't it?

My cat did that when she was a kitten, and she grew out of it fairly quickly. Especially if she has claws, she tends to get out of the use-my-teeth-for-everything stage. Just make sure you're careful, and separate play time from cuddle time so she knows when it's appropriate and when it's not. If a wound is deep and bleeds or hurts, it could be considered a puncture wound and needs a tetnis shot, so just be gentle and cautious with the toys. (*Using a toy also keeps a cat's teeth away from you.) If the problem persists and becomes harmful, ask your veterinarian.

Most cats do that when they are young and they grab with paws to try to hold on to bite you even more. I guess it is an instinct.

Yup, but if it hurts or you're bleeding go to the doctor. Also get some stuff to put on your hand that is non-toxic to cats but it tastes bad to them. It'l learn.

I wouldn't encourage it because when you have visitors she will do it and they might not appreciate it. If you don't care then let her do it. I have a young niece and nephew and I prefer my cat to be more gentle.
