The decrease back of a coin is named the tail and the front--a head--in a lot of situations it shows a head of someone-- in Canada that is the top of our queen, and the tail of a dime shows a sailboat.

~Here's a dumb thought: take out a dime -it's 50/50 you've got the correct side up (if not, turn it over) - and look at it. If you can't figure it out, go to a coin book.
