I heard it was for arming them so they could alleviate or stop the tyrannical oppressions that Iran did, and is now still trying to, impose upon them. Why are some of you people so anti-freedom until you start screaming for your rights, that were fought, for to protect? Sounds like very contradictory and skewed logic to me.

The USA did not give arms to Iraq illegally because at the time Iraq was at war with Iran and we were helping Iraq.
