ya know....since all these phone calls it reminded me of this one commercial i saw *don't remember what it was for*.
a telemarketer called and woke this dude up. and while the telemarketer was talking on the phone...giving his speech the guy he called got on a plane *in his jammies* and flew across country....took a cab to the building where the telemarketer worked, took the elevator up to the floor the telemarketer was on, walked up to the telemarketers desk and picked up the guys phone. ripped the cord out of the wall, threw the phone on the ground and violently stomped on it...then flew back home and went back to bed.
LOL, i SO want to do that. i think I've gotten 20 calls in the last week.
i usually just scream profanity at them and hang up.
why? because it makes ME feel better, and it gives them a great story to tell on their lunch break..."Dude you should have heard the ***** i had to call this morning...wow was she pissed...ha ha ha" see it's a win win situation.

Good point! I just got my first one today. But, what I hate is all of the campaign ads on the radio that either lie about something or stretch the truth. Many people don't investigate the issue further than what they hear on the radio, and that can really sway people the wrong way. I do like the television commercial, "Don't Vote!" Have you seen it? The moral of the story is, don't vote unless you know the facts and what your voting for/on. That's a good message! ;-) LOL

Well, as I don't watch television, I have fortunately been spared the ads, but I guess the pollsters have correctly pegged me as one without television, because I am getting lots and lots of junk snail mail, and campaigning phone calls (which sadly are allowed even if you sign up for the do not call list.) My mom got a phone call from "Laura Bush" or her clone (appropos, don't you know)...she hung right up.
However, I DO look forward, to voting and finding out who will be in office afterward. Probably not many surprises, though.

TV adds, telephone solicitations, junk snail mail, junk email, door to door solicitations - I'm sick of it all and I'm sick of mudslinging campaigns by polititions with no agendas or answers. I'll definately be glad its over. But we still have to sit through weeks more of journalists analyzing the results - GIVE US A BREAK!!!

"Hi, I'm Clint Eastwood and I want you to vote for my friend, Bill Billson"
Stop it, stop it, stop it!
My mailbox is filled with flyers as to how all the candidates are stinky vile bug squishers or that if I support this proposition I might as well leave for Canada now.
Tuesday night can't come soon enough for me, let me tell you.

hell yeah, I'm tired of the stupid election phone calls, commercials, posters, all of it. Yesterday "Bill Clinton" called my house to urge me to vote democratic, it was kind of funny.
