it comes out november 17th. i think the prices ARE outrageous-
$499.00 for the basic system
$599.00 for the premium system
and I heard that they're not gonna be makin a lot of em.
I still want one though!

The system starts at $500 for a 20 GB version. The price tag on the 60 GB model is $600.
People looking to cash in on the high demand and limited supply are already selling their pre-reserved PS3 consoles on eBay for well over $2,000. Rights to one PS3 recently sold for $3,250, plus $50 for shipping. It received 48 bids.

It comes out on November 17. The standard one should be something like $500 before taxes.

i think that it is comming out on nov. 13 06 but u can find the exact date on www.gamestop.com
