I've seen lots bad drivers who are young and good older drivers who are more patient and cautions, but when then there are the little old ladys who can't even see over the dash board...

I think it needs to be on a case by case basis. There are some 40yr olds that don't need to be driving and there are 90yr olds that drive just fine. I do agree that the little old ladies who can't see over the dash don't need to be driving along with the people who drive incredibly slow on the highways.

I think it would be truly unfair to designate a particular age... maybe we should require driving tests (written and driven) every 5 years for 50-70 yr old, 2 year for 70-80 yr. old and every year for anyone over the age of 80 and every 6 months if you are still behind the wheel at 90.

oh yes i agree with you and trust me where i live in florida there are a whollle bunch of old ppl on the streets who cause accidents daily. They can't see over the dashboard and they always either drive these big ole cars that they can't handle or some nice 2007 car that they don't need to be driving anyway lol. They need to give that to the young people who will aprreciate it.

Anyhow to answer yoru question 70 yrs and older should be chauffered..

No real age limit, as long as they're physically/mentally able and pass the driver's test. My grandmother is 96 and drives just fine.

In the U.K. drivers who reach 70 undergo an aptitude test. And their G.P.'s (D.r.s) can say they shouldn't be driving if they are no longer fit.
All drivers should be safe, no matter what age!

I don't think I can say exactly a age. You should stop driving when you have excessive health problems, problems walking, heart problems, altheimers, and other old people stuff.
