It depends on exactly what you're asking here. Will you have the right to wed openly and have your spouse guaranteed the same benefits as a partner in a heterosexual marriage? If that's your question, I would say probably not. The Christian right still has its claws on the balls of government. Separation of church and state is a convenient illusion. G.W. is an evangelical Christian. He opposes everything about gays, including their right to love whomever they want. As far as you have come in assuring that you will be treated equally in America, you have that far to travel yet again. Good luck.

I don't know. It's really gonna be an uphill battle. African-Americans, for example, have been fighting for equality longer than gay people. They've come a long way but still suffer racism and discrimination. The gay community has an even bigger problem. Alot of these religious people object to homosexuality due to their beliefs. Other minorities don't have this problem. But I think the gay community is making progress, slowly but surely.

Yes. As far as I can tell (I'm not an expert on law or anything) here in the UK we already have exactly equal legal rights, and I think most European countries are either the same or heading that way. The US can't be THAT far behind, surely?

We have rights, my dear, but it would be nice to have the rights to either marry or have civil unions and to have partner benefits. I hope to see it in our lifetime. Blessings.

You have exactly the same rights as I do and have you ever heard of a will. You can leave everything to your partner, no problem.

What rights are denied?
As far as I know gay people have all the rights of us breeders, except for getting married to who they wish but that's in the process of being changed is it not.
Excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong.
