my factoring problem is x^2 + 2x -63= 0
i think im supposed to get -63 with 2 numbers that add up to 2x ... i think i am doin this wrong...

(x+9)(x-7) = x^2+2x-63

9 times - 7 = -63

and
9 + -7 = 2

The answer is (x+9) (x-7)

+9+ - 7 = -2 +9 x -7= -63

x^2+2x-63

You're doing ok; try -7 and +9.
