I have saw this thing on tv that said about stigmata and spontaneous combustion and other stuff like that and was really intrigued. Can they really happen? If so how? _

There have been documented cases of stigmata, but as for the other, I don't know.

There have been several documented cases of stigmata, and many others that were unable to be determined one way or the other - they could neither prove fraud, nor authenticate it. But as there are people who believe the moon landing was a hoax, there will always be those who believe the stigmata is too.

No, spontaneous human combustion is due to people falling asleep with a lighted cigarette, or something very similar. Stigmata is easy to fake - too easy to fake to bother suggesting a supernatural cause.

See www.csicop.org or the online Skeptic's Dictionary for more info. And don't believe everything you see on tv.

Don't know what a stigmata is, but spontaneous combustion happened to my mother-in-law. She had a bunch of oily rags and newpapers and miscelllaneous piled up in the garage and the stuff started burning spontaneously and took the garage with it.

There has never (not once, not ever, despite claims to the contrary) been a documented, scientifically verfiable case of either one. There *have* been several cases where frauds and hoaxes were detected. So -- what do you think? :)

Don't believe everything you see on TV. There are shows on TV that claim Noah's ark has been found, that shows alien autopsies, that claims the moon landings were a hoax -- all of which are wrong. TV is there for ratings and advertising money, not for "truth."

I don't think so. Just old wives tales from the middle ages.
