You are upside down... according to someone in Australia.

The Earth is a sphere and is constantly attracting you via gravity. So no matter where you go it will always be pulling you towards the center. As you travel around the globe "down" will always be toward the center of the Earth.

Because our sense of "Down" is caused by gravity. There isn't really a bottom of the Earth because there is no "Down" in space. The Earth's gravity is pulling us toward the center of the Earth, so no matter where we are on the surface, "down" is toward the center of the planet.

just think of Earth in a very large pool...there is no gravity in the universe as it has in a pool on Earth, it does not attract you like it does if if your on the ground and the reason we are rotating at all is prob because of the sum (i'm really bad at earth science) points~~

It is because down is toward the center of the globe, not toward the table that your model globe is sitting on. The idea that south is down is just a map making convention that has no physical significance.

we are unlike pins sticking to the Earth. Pins (caught interior the ceiling as an occasion) carry by friction. The fibres of notwithstanding textile makes up the ceiling, are broken and slghtly stretched via the pin dealing with them. The ends of the fibres are resting against the steel of the pin; the cumulative effect of friction holds the pin into the ceiling. all human beings is attracted via the mass of Earth. in spite of the place you're, you're attracted in the direction of the centre of mass (the barycentre called the centre of gravity). you could leap up and, quickly, depart the exterior; in spite of the undeniable fact that, you will fall returned (even in Australia). If a pin "jumps" out of the ceiling, it somewhat is no longer retained via the fibres' friction; it falls faraway from the ceiling. As for the convention of exhibiting North as "up", this is extremely modern-day. perchance it somewhat is Australia this is extremely "up" and we are putting the different way up. playstation : the place's our stable previous flat Earth as quickly as we % it. think of the value decrease value rates: you sail to the sting of the international, fall off... you're in area!
