That's part of the problem for both sides. To try and convey a platform, they have both become too extremist. Most Americans are NOT extremists... but more moderate. I would love for there to be a third party with legitimate candidates and real strength. I think we would have a better government.

I value conservative fiscal policies, too. I think the liberterians are a party that advocates small government without pandering to the religious right.

The Libertarian Party has some of the old republican ideology. They generally believe in less government control and more rights. I don't think they have a lot of religious influence, if any.

Er.....well, the Libertarians are certainly economic conservatives, and they definitely don't have ties to the religious right.

Think of them like Reagan when it came to talking about the size of gov't and getting gov't out of the way, but like any liberal democrat when it comes to social issues or civil rights issues, minus the lunacy.

The Libertarian Party is your best bet. While many of their candidates are, let us say, extremist in certain of their beliefs, they very rarely as closely allied with any religious group.

the libertarian party would be your best bet, since they are for limited government but want complete freedom for society be it gay marrage, or any of the things that the person wants to do within the law.

The consitution party is very close to the religious right

Libertarians! The lawyers we vote in to power have made it almost impossible to get a 3rd party in the race.
