When the program I'm watching is almost finished, but the end credits haven't started, and it's normally the deep and meaningful discussion at the end that ties everything up???? It's maddening.

Yes johnjoe I can still hear it but it's not the same. I think next time he's watching the football/rugby I'll get the text up and tell him he can still hear what's going on!

It seems to be only a man thing.
I'd try hiding the remote control under a cushion as soon as you realise that you are enjoying the programme ... it's about the only thing that works ... unless of course he decides to get into a long conversation about 'where's the remote' & then talks through the end!
time to tear your hair out!

I totally agree - my other half does that - totally maddenning - also does it in the commercial breaks - it's a male control thing - another way of staking their territory. Ah, have to feel sorry for them really - remind them we are out of the stoneage now....
