I work retail and to us the day after Thanksgiving is just about the most busiest workday of the year.

It seems to me that if this is the case and people know full well that the malls, stores etc. are going to be packed with people and they'll be waiting in long lines to pay and not to mention the parking. . . . it goes on-and-on. WHY OH WHY don't they stay home and just relax on their day off? (IF they have the day off) Who really wants to bother with the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping at it's worse?

Are YOU one of these people who "fight the crowds" to shop on the day after Thanksgiving?

I've done it once and never again. I honestly don't mind crowds any other time during the holidays but that is one day that I will not venture anywhere. Reason being is that day for whatever reason seems to bring out the absolute worst in people, whereas they act perfectly normal any other day during the holidays.

The day after Thanksgiving in many situations has some marvelous revenues and in many situations situations they're early poultry revenues (that end at midday) or the revenues are on limited furnish products. i've got been to Wal-mart at 5 interior the morning on the day after Thanksgiving and had to flow around the construction to get to the returned of the line so i might think of that folk get up obtainable via 3 or in the previous... yet i can't flow this twelve months.

I have gone the day after Thanksgiving but I don´t find that it´s worth it plus I´m not usually in the Christmas shopping mood until 1-2 weeks before Christmas. I also like to spread the shopping out, to do it all on one day would be impossible for me, especially with those crowds.

I work retail, too. BUT, I work the overnight shift so all I have to do is get the stuff ready so you first shifters get to fight with everyone. As soon as I leave, (I am off this year...YEEHAW!!!) I get to hit the stores and be one of those people. Only thing alot of people don't realize, is the price of the stuff they get at 6 am on Black Friday, does not change, even if the stuff is still there 2 weeks later. It is shipped to the stores SPECIFICALLY for Black Friday....therefore the price will be the same. Though I do have to say it is funny as hell watching grown people get into physical fights over stupid stuff.

We had one person a few years ago that couldn't find a buggy ANYWHERE. There was another customer who had ONLY her child (a baby) in her buggy. The one customer took the kid out of the buggy and set him on the floor and took the buggy with them.

Good god no. It's anethema to me. I hate shopping retail, particularly at malls.

Whatever small savings you may get on that day is NOT worth it to me.

I don't like to shop any other day of the year, so I DEFINITELY avoid the stores on that day...
