Ok.. so why should we give Saddam the easy way out and let him die... a quick drop and a sudden stop seem like a gift.. if you believe in Hell then i'm sure they won't mind if we keep him for a few more years and if you don't believe in Hell then why should we send him to oblivion where he will have no pain and no fear of pain.. how is that justice for the devistation he has caused?... i say lock him in a cell with a big man named Bubba at night and let the Psychiatrists and Psychologist poke and prod him during the day.. he'll be begging for death before his time comes! I know this isn't technically America's choice, but i'm sure our government could influence the outcome behind closed doors... so my question is: Is a hanging a better solution and if so why? I want reasonable answers that are logically thought out please.

Iraq could put him in a prison somewhere other than Iraq.. and in all honesty if he was in any type of open prison he'd be dead within a month.. other than the dropping him off on the northern border idea i don't see the JUSTICE in it and i'm wanting to hear a logical defense of that, not just an opinion.

I think we should let him free! Just drop him off in the northern Iraq area where all the Kurds are. Make sure the families of all the people he gassed are there and give them weapons. Then just drop off Saddam with nothing but the clothes on his back. They would certainly take care of him.

Until he is executed, Iraq will never be allowed to move ahead to the next chapter of its history. Furthermore, if he is in prison, the likelihood that his insurgent buddies on the other side of the wall would try to spring him is exceptionally high. That's not a man I want to be looking over my shoulder for.

Remember: Unless you kill the king, he will come back for you some day... or something like that.

EDIT: Oh, and how long would it take some ACLU liberal to wring his hands over how Saddam is treated in prison? Do you think anyone would actually allow Saddam to be treated as anything less than a king with the likes of the EU and Amnesty International watching like hawks? I doubt it.

I think life, hanging him will make a martyr out of him and would give some another excuse for more killing. And just maybe the US government should keep their noses out of Iraqi justice, butting into other countries business has it would seem cost to many young American soldiers their lives.
