My wife was thrown off the bus just for taking our satnav box with her and telling the driver there was a better route. Can they do that to Freedom Pass holders?

what is the point of having satnav on a bus,you already know were its going.i think you ought to understand that it is for your car.there are funny squiggles on the box called instructions, when you learn to decipher them they are invaluable and ill help you avoid situations like this.

Creating a situation on a bus can be grounds for being removed from the bus, regardless of how you pay.

Your wife was wrong, along with the satnav. Bus routes are not chosen to be short, they are chosen to be able to serve the greatest number of passengers in an area. The bus driver is given a route and may not deviate from it unless there is a serious emergency.

Leave the satnav at home and let the bus driver do their job.

Great stuff! Same here, show them a more scenic route, and they ignore you! Bloody working classes!
