Potassium can have an atomic mass of 39, 40, or 41. However, over 90% of naturally occuring Potassium is K-39, with 20 neutrons. K-41, with 22 neutrons, is also stable. K-40 has 21 neutrons, and does occur in nature, but with an abundance of only 0.012%. In addition, it is not truly stable, although its half-life is over a billion years.
