There are a lot of variables to consider when pricing a car for a respray.
Are you changing the colour?
Do you want the door shuts sprayed & possibly the engine bay?
Does the bodykit need to be removed and/or fitted?
How good a quality job do you need doing.
I manage a bodyshop and we do top quality work,a same colour respray would start at £1200 and work up from there.
As has been said previously the bulk of the work is in the preparation,so it depends on if there is much in the way of dents, rust etc to deal with.
You can get a respray done from around £500,but buyer beware, you get what you pay for,it's as well to pay a bit over the odds for a quality job than to pay too little and wind up having a car with a poor finish, covered in overspray that you will have to get done again.
Good luck

sure! What they say is authentic to a level. they could have the colour matched by skill of the integration numbers revealed on your automobile - all automobiles have a colour code so as that perfect matches are accessible. unlike Holts paints from automobile accs shops that are familiar and have a tendency to be a distinct colour. yet -there is continually a yet - you are able to be conscious the version in colour less than synthetic mild - often times it seems a colour or 2 lighter less than street lights at evening and so on and so on... guarantee that in case you enable them do it - it has a guaranty on the paintwork they carry out - some sellers/garages deliver out the motorized vehicle to be sprayed and that is even as administration is lost and also you may finally end up with shoddy artwork which in basic terms lasts some months - a good broking service/sprayer's artwork might want to very last an finished life so haggle for a minimum of three years assure on the paint activity. typically - a suitable respray of the entire wing will seem more effective perfect yet you are able to income this your self with a touch patience and at a a lot decreased fee. Haynes make a guide about resprays - worth it - it takes you via each and each and every step bit by technique of bit with each and every area to seem for - surely maximum Haynes manuals have a small section on paint.

If it aint black already forget it, opening the bonnet will be a complete give away that it is a respray.
White is the proper colour for Mk 2 Escorts, and if they are all as good as my old one the scrapyard is the right place for them.

Find several bodyshops, get quotes and ask to see previous work, to do the job right can cost upto £5k, depending on quality and warranty! Get the best you can AFFORD! better in the long run.

You should phone several bodyshops and get quotes to compare prices but, like anything else, you only get what you pay for.
