Professional bloggers could simply be low level interns, not making great salaries, or the more established ones could land higher-paying jobs at any type of business. The key is publishing content that keeps people coming back to the site (which in turn will earn revenue)

Many professional bloggers are independant. They started writing a blog, and publish content once to three times daily. It takes a lot of work, but after several months or a year, they can build their user base, and sell advertising space on their site.
