My Mom says that I can't get my ears pierced until I am 16. That is way too old I think. She also gives me a real hard time about things I want to wear. Are there any other girls who have this problem? What have you told your Mom that helps?

listen to ur mom, she knows best, trust me myne did not let me pluck, shave, dress nice, or anything like that till one day she just realised that her daughter has gotten to that age, and she slowly let me, dont be in a rush to do things, just cuz ur friends or the popular hoochies at school r doin it, god peer pressure is such a b****, just take ur time ur mom is the best thing in the world and if she feels like u respect her, she will start easing up on u trust me i know this from expeirence our parents are always right, get clip on earings for now, and clothes shes only protecting u from those predators out there, so listen honey its the best advice

well yeah but Mom is right, it wont hurt you to wait, be unique, be different, How many girls do you know that are 15 or 16 with NO piercings?? And the clothes thing? well let her help you with that too, how many girls do you know that dress decent and not like a ho? my mom was that way and guess what? I had Lots of guys like me just Becuz i was different and 'clean' looking:) you'd be surprised. Good luck.

im not a girl but my sister isn't allowed to get her ears pierced until 16 either. she is allowed to have one on each ear at 16 and that's it.

my mom isnt like this but all i can say is try to rreason with her. let her know that getting your ears pierced ist a big deal.. its not! and if she still wont change her mind.. do it anyways. next time you go to the mall just do it. and wear your hair down & even if she does find out.. getting yelled at wont be a big deal bc youll have your pierced ears forever

Listen to your mother. When I was 13 I wanted more than one hole on each ear. She wouldn't let me so I did the holes myself locked in the bathroom with ice and a sewing machine needle. She said I would regret it and I do. Listen to your mother, she does know best.

Act and dress very mature for a while, if she sees that you are mature enough to have your ears pierced, maybe she'll let you get them pierced.

I am a mom and I think that is silly. My little girls ears are pierced and she is 3. Tell your mom she is holding you back. and to let up a little . You only live once.................Good luck

nope you are the only one with this problem. I am 13 and i have my ears pieced 5 times. so that kinda stinks for you.

listen to your mom. I had to wait until I was 18, and when I got them pierced, they got infected and gross. Your mom is trying to keep you from looking like a skank and she's right. When you're 18 you can do whatever you like.

listen to your mom. or talked about it...if the results is still the same then its better to follow her advice. she had experienced more about life so its better to listen to her. besides 16 is not that old your still young..enjoy life. besides is not the number that makes you feel young it is all up to you. just take it easy..and enjoy as the time goes by.
