It depends on where they are and how old you are.
My neice was almost 9 pounds when she was born, so of course, she had dimples in her elbows and knees and when she smiled. This is cute in a baby. the cuteness goes away once you get older....especially if the dimples are in your elbows and stuff like that.

Dimples are adorable. I have dimples but I love my mom's dimples you can see them when she talks, mine are only visible when I smile. They seem to run in my family, along with the cleft chin.
