yes, it's normal. only worry when it's bright red or a colour that might suggest an infection like yellow or green. also check how it smells, if it smells a little rotten that's obviously not good. i don't think you'll have to worry though, sounds like you're doing everything right!

Totally normal discharge. It took my daughter almost a month to totally get rid of her cord and everytime I wiped around it, there was that brownish color. Try cue-tips to wipe the stump instead of cotton balls, it seemed to keep her surrounding skin from becoming too dry from the alcohol.

Yes its normal I was scared when i saw it with my little girl and looked online first before calling dr because of the time of night. But it is no problem just keep look at it and make sure theres no drainage.

Yeah I know I'm not a mom, but dammit I am a stay at home dad. I saw with both of our babies it is just dried blood. When it gets moist it will leave a streak that is ugly to look at but totally harmless. It is nothing you need to worry about.

As long as there is no odor comming from the cord just contune with the care.. That is normal.. if there is a bad odor then possible infection..

Yes, it's normal. Just dried blood. Ease up on wiping it and let it dry out.
