Here is a really helpful milk calculator that will help you figure out how much milk you'll need.

It depends on how long you are going out for... my daughter is only 2 months old and she drinks about 3oz every 2 hours or so. I am excusively breastfeeding her. Since I work I send 5 bottles to the babysitter per day and she is at the sitter for about 10 hours. I rarely get back a bottle. Since your baby is a little older I would make 5oz bottles and make 1 for every 2 hours. Just remember if you make too many it is ok... room temperature bottles last up to 4 hours and if the milk refrigerated it is good for 4 days.

I really feel for you. I'm also exclusively breastfeeding...you are leaving for an entire weekend or just going for a night out? For the night I would say four 4onz bottles for safetys sake. Also, I would recommend bringing a hand pump, or master the art of "expressing" milk, because if this is the first time away from your baby for a night out, your breast don't know that and will fill up and ruin your clothes...could be embarrasing..been there...good luck

It depends on the baby. What I did was package the milk I pumped in 4 oz bags. That way my housband could heat one up and if my daughter needed more then he just had to pop in another bag. It cut down on waste too.
Remember: Fresh milk last 5 hours on the counter, 5 days in the fridge and 5 months in the freezer. Be sure to mark all bags with the date they were pumped.

Good Luck!

how frequently does she drink? make sure she will take a bottle before you go! (not sure if you've tried). I would guess she drinks about 4 oz at a time so that times the number of feedings you'll be gone for. doesnt hurt to have extra , you can always freeze it for later if she doesnt use it.
