Since 1kg is equal to 1,000g, the 2kg watermelon weighs 2,000g. The 2kg watermelon is twice as heavy as the 1,000g watermelon.

As long as they are both in the same place, the 2 kg watermelon is heavier than the 1000g one, as there are 1000g in 1 kg.

The 2kg and 1000g are masses of the watermelons - in other words properties of the objects.

Weight or heaviness is dependent on the force between the watermelon and the planet it sits on (or near). everything gets heavier on a big planet and lighter on a small one.

It is possible to make the 1000g one heavier, by taking it to a place (planet) where the force of gravity is at least twice as great as the force of gravity on earth.

Or you could take the 2kg one to the moon as it's force due to gravity is less than that exerted by the earth.

There are slight differences in the force due to gravity in different places on earth. Gravity is greater at the poles than at the equator.

the 2kg watermelon is much heavier because:
1Kg = 1000g
2Kg = 2000g
so the 2kg has more mass, and thus more weight.
