According to Wikipedia, he was born July 24, 1939 and is a British businessman. He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1961 and joined British Petroleum as a management trainee, became chief executive in 1982 and 1992, managing director in 1986 and at least chairman. He is named "The Transformer" for his Transformational Leadership at British Petroleum in the book, The New Global Leaders.

He should have a listing in Burkes Peerage --- and if you google National portrait Gallery , they have a James Lloyd portrait of him ---NPG 6442 in Business Category.

he sounds like he'd be in a 'who's who' book, have you tried that? I think they are at local libraries, but you might have to look at an industry related one.. maybe at a main branch
