it's about time, six years of hell is enough. this administration have totally lost its focus on the war on terror. instead of stopping terror, they're creating it.
those who don't support the war in iraq are labelled ..... liberals, cowards, traitors. IS THIS AMERICA? can't we have opposing view? i fully support the war in agfhanistan, but i will never support a war that has nothing to do with anything.
do you really want to "STAY THE COURSE"? do you actually believed that you can win a war without a valid reason? do you want it to end like nam? 60000 dead us soldiers later
this war is a mistake. stop it now!
being patriotic is "DON'T ASK WHAT THIS COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THIS COUNTRY"
don't change it to meant "DON'T ASK WHAT THIS MORON CAN DO FOR YOU BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THIS MORON"

Sure, go ahead and reward the terrorists. Let them know that the US doesn't have the backbone to fight them.
Yeah yeah, I know, Iraq wasn't behind 9/11. Well, Iraq IS the war on terror right now. Even the terrorists say that. If we cut and run, that's the message the terrorists will receive. They will not only gain a new base of operations and state sponsor of terrorism, but they will come after us in the USA next.
We will also be telling any potential allies in the mid-east that we cannot be trusted, because we abandon the gov't that we helped put in power.
I know you anti-war guys see it as very noble that we should leave Iraq, but you are completely incapable of seeing the consequences. Remember when we cut and run from Vietnam? What was the consequence? Millions killed and millions more oppressed for 20 years after that.
We've seen in Afghanistan what happened when the Soviets pulled out. The Taliban took over and sponsored terrorists, who later killed 3,000 innocent Americans. Can you not see that that will happen again with Iraq? Why are you so freaking blind?
The best thing you can do for America and for Iraq is to continue helping the new Iraqi gov't, in power for only 8 months, to rebuild their country and provide for their own security.

Will the USA reject vengeance on the victims of 9/11 tomorrow and leave Iraq to collapse under a sectarian terrorist regime?

I never want to see a soldier of any army die following orders, but I certainly never want to see an innocent non-combatant die because politicians used this war as a political football. The liberal media has become convinced they no longer have to just report the news, they want to shape the course of events. I only hope enough Americans realize this.

that's all well and good,
but do you think this country can survive without war.
democrats and Republicans are the same. after all the none sense bush is pulling democrats still refuse to try and impeach him if they win? because it's the right thing to do? no, because it's no good politics. Clinton killed almost as many Iraqis as bush. Kennedy started the draft, Lincoln imprisoned congress members he didn't like. Roosevelt locked up Japanese Americans. this goes on and will continue to go on.
Did we learn a lesson from vietnam or the cold war or mcarthyism or cuba ect...
no not at all.
american policie is war, plain and simple. you want to stop that policiey then stop electing democrats and repulicans

Heh. It's finally sinking in for the liberals, isn't it? On the off-chance that the US votes in a Dem controlled house and senate, you will have to come up with a plan for Iraq.

Personally, I think more of this country and its people than to hope that one day we'll take our toys, go home, and tell a group of people who need our help that they'll have to do without us.
