The usual feeding schedule for infants is 10, 2, 6, 10, 2, and 6. Somewhere along the way the stop waking for the 2:00 a.m. feeding. In other words, four hours is a usual amount of time for them to sleep.

My son started to sleep for five hours, and I asked the doctor about whether I should wake him. I was worried he'd get too deep into sleep and worried about SIDS. At the time, the doctor said let him sleep the five hours. I decided, though, not to let him sleep past the five hours when he should still have been on the four-hour schedule.

Three hours during the day is normal.

Newborns sleep 16-20 hours a day...I miss that. Now I can barely get my 2 year-old son to take a nap at all.

whilst my daughter grew to become into youthful she did an identical element, she naped for approximately ten minutes that grew to become into it. It made it extremely complicated to get something achieved. Your toddler isn't hyper. She is busy and a severe potential toddler. As she gets older it would substitute, yet probable no longer. My daughter is a 300 and sixty 5 days previous now and he or she sleeps between 4-6 hours and then she naps approximately an hour at midday time and that's it. After the 4-6 hours at night after a bottle she will have the means to pass to sleep for approximately 2-3 greater hours and that's it. yet to me it somewhat is heaven. whilst she grew to become into 4 months she might awaken each and every 2 hours and this grew to become into torture. i'm delighted for the destroy. rejoice with the toddler they improve up so rapid.

My baby will be 3 weeks tomorrow and she has gone 5 hours. Don't worry about it. The nurse at her docs office was like "thats too long you need to wake her every 2 to eat," well when we went for her 2 week checkup she had gained 8 1/2 oz in 9 days and the doctor told me she will wake when shes hungry don't worry!

No, that's not too long at all! In fact your kids should be napping 1-2 hours until they're like 6. Trust me :)

no that is actually pretty good length of a nap. dont worry about the feedings. their bodys will know when to wake them up for food. but if they go down for a nap in the early evening i wouldnt let them sleep that long because you will want her to sleep at night.

This is perfectly normal, you will find that the first 8 weeks of a baby's life they will sleep a lot.....except when you want them to, lol. You will find that as she gets older she will wake more. SHe will still sleep alot, but she will be awake more during the day for a little bit of a play and cuddles.

It's normal, but you should try and keep her up, for the simple fact you wont get any sleep, because she may have her nights and days mixed, so try and keep her up as long as you can.

seems normal to me--hopefully you're lucky and she sleeps that long at night too! Or, if she doesn't, she'll start soon.
