I just moved and what I did was that when I finished packing in one room, I did a quick clean. Most of the rooms didn't need much more than that. But after everything was out, I went back and checked each room. I did touch up that I had missed. It worked good that way. At least I wasn't faced with cleaning a whole house.

In my experience you should go to the new house and clean that. Then move all your stuff. Then clean your old now empty house...but it depends how boring you find cleaning!!! If its too dull pay someone else to do it!!!
