Can you be a bit more clear... why did the doctor think you would start over the summer? Unless they were giving you meds to start up your cycles, there's no good way to predict the onset of menstruation.
Anyway... it's normal for your first period to happen as late as 17 and a half, and even after that, it doesn't mean you are unhealthy, just delayed. If you want, you can go back to the doctor and ask them about hormonal treatments (typically the pill) to get your cycles going, but it's really not necessary. If you are worrying about your period starting in school, carry a couple of pads in your backpack (your school nurse will also stock them). Women having horror-story first periods and bleeding through their pants or whatever are very rare. Your period is actually not that big of a deal, and will quickly become routine.

Your body might not be ready to start yet. You didn't say how old you are, but some girls don't start until after the age of 16, especially if they are athletic. If you're scared you'll start at school, wear panty liners and keep some back up pads or tampons in your bag or a locker. It is hard to predict when you'll start that first time. I wouldn't stress about it too much if your doctor is telling you that everything else is OK, because stress can delay your period. If you're still worried about it, call your doctor and ask him/her what he/she thinks.

nicely, the EDD is in basic terms an ESTIMATE and may want to be off by technique of a few weeks. They get that ESTIMATE by technique of once you suggested your very last menstrual became in case your off then they are off. even as they do the ultrasound estimates once back its an estimate yet in a lot of situations more effective precise because they don't do in basic terms length of the toddler they verify organs besides. each and every thing receives developed throughout the time of particular situations on your being pregnant and so checking all those products in a lot of situations provides a miles more effective perfect estimate on even as your baby is due. also, from April 4th to April 18th its 14 days it really is strictly 2 weeks (not quite a lot 3 weeks). once you go into exertions thats as a lot as your body and its very typical to enter exertions 2 weeks till now or after your due date. Giving due dates isn't a precise technology its all thoroughly an estimate and no one is considered incorrect because both way they go depending off of your date you provide (of even as the first day of your very last menstrual became) and then they subtract 3 months then upload 7 days to get a tricky estimate!

I don't know how old you are, but you sound young. It all depends on your body. Some times girls start around 7 Th grade.
Others not until seniors in high school. Please relax, because your gonna have it, until your about 55 or so. It's not a thing to look forward too. Please be patient. Don't worry, It will come.

if you are sexually active go pick up a pregnancy test. if that is negative. it could be that you don't weigh enough. most girls start their periods when they reach about 110 pounds. if you are athletic, that could be another reason for it to start later.
and you will most likely start at school, so carry something in your purse just in case.

How old are you? Have you had it before? Because if you havent had it before, then don't worry. People all get them at different times. If you have had it... I would be worried. Hope I could help.

How old are you? Your doctor can't predict when your cycle will start if this is your first time. If it isn't your first cycle, the only way doc could predict is if he is giving you a medicine to induce it.
