Greatness is all about championships. Dan Marino may have the best stats, but is he the greatest qb ever? No. I believe Peyton will have the best numbers for a qb in the history of the game, but he has got to win a Super Bowl. This just may be the year.

I agree that he's likely considered one of the precise 5. I additionally consider Peyton himself that #19 for the Baltimore Colts would desire to be on the precise of the checklist, too. Peyton Manning and Johnny Unitas are somewhat all time precise 5 QB's in my opinion. Which one is bigger is a exciting debate. Johnny U performed at a time while the guidelines have been harder on offense. He impacted the entire league the way he ought to carve up a protection with play calling on the line of scrimmage and complete deep bypass performs. Peyton is form of a sought after version of Johnny U and could additionally carve up extra complicated defenses having bigger, swifter gamers. In any experience Peyton and Johnny U are 2 of the precise 5 in my e book. i'm going to enable you to fill in the different 3 of the precise 5. via how, i'm don't think i'm biased the two. My popular communities are the Saints and the Panthers. Edit: Nixdad, I variety with you on Peyton yet solidly consider you approximately Joe Montana. somewhat, yet another of the best-ever precise 5. Edit: hello Aaron, get returned to us while Brady has made it into the precise 20 in occupation passing yards. Peyton is #9 and Johnny U is #11 (basically 12 video games according to season for Johnny U).

I don't think he'll even be the best quarterback of his family. I can't stand any of the Mannings. I used to love Archie but now he sucks and so do his son's. I hope they all continue to choke. They are just a bunch of spoiled brat's who have always lived with a silver spoon in their mouth. Anytime a jerk such as Eli can decide to not play for a certain team just because he doesn't want to proves that they are all a bunch of spoiled wusses. Let Peyton break all the records he wants, as long as he doesn't win Superbowls and even if he does he'll always suck.

According to the public and the media, one will never reach superstardom until you have proven yourself to be a leader and a valuable part of a team. Thus, a SuperBowl victory. Peyton Manning will continue to draw comparisons to Dan Marino until he finally leads his team to a championship win. Yes, he can break all the records possible, but what the public likes to see are rings. Likewise, Kobe Bryant will never achieve Jordan-like status until he leads his team to a championship on his OWN.

If he wins a Superbowl then yes. He is on pace to break almost every record for a qaurterback. I think he could already be considered the best non playoff qaurterback of all time. He has at least another 4 great years left in him. To bad that can't be said for his favorite receiver M. Harrison.

NO he will never compare to Joe Montana or John Elway he might actually beat them in the stats maybe but he wont be remembered like some of the quarterbacks we have had over the years maybe if he becomes more of a leader

Yes, when it's all said and done he'll have all the major records, and more than 1 SB ring. Elway did it toward the end but he got his. So will Peyton, sooner than later.
