Probably the best grow info is on the net at www.icmag.com
There are a number of books available on the topic as well.
Marijuana likes a more acidic environment, soil pH-wise, a 5.5 - 6 reading. Good potting soil with a bit of dolomite lime added for acidity, plenty of vermiculite or perlite for good drainage, and a fertilizer meant for tomatoes is good.

You know this is against the law!

A plant is a plant. Best soil for any plant is a mix of peat moss, vermiculite and perlite. Maybe heavier on the peat moss in this case.

Very important aspect is light. Give all green plants as much light as you can. That means putting them right up in the West or South window. Or better yet, get a light garden.

Water enough to keep soil moist but not soggy.

Fertilize with a high first number like 30-10-10.

Why spoil your life with this stuff. Try cacti instead.

Plenty of sunlight, regular watering,s, 0-10-10 fertilizer, basically anything you would use on tomatoes is okay. For thicker stalks and greater height, you can use a product from Ortho called miracid, but you have to make sure they get a LOT of water...not that I would know anything about this.( Well, maybe a little...)

This is a very easy one. If you contact your local police department they give free classes on just this exact thing. Have your buddy or better yet, the two of you take the plants to the station and they will fit you right in.

No charge. No waiting.

My ex-husband told me that he and his brother tried growing marijuana once in their attic. When a well-meaning neighbor asked their mother, "when are those beautiful tomato plants in your attic going to get tomatoes?", his mother fed them straight bleach. From what I understand, worked wonders. Give it a try!
