I was just listening to Louis Armstrong singing "It is Good" and it French counterpart by Eartha Kitt " C'est si Bon".

Are there any other such popular French-English pop songs? The ones I know are Joe Le Taxi and 99 red balloons.

* Celine Dion sings French but none seem to be sung in English as well... anyone has ideas? Would be fun to do this as a "Guess the song" party game :)

An album of Serge Gainsbourg covers by current artists was released not too long ago with a lot of good stuff on it, "Je t'aime moi non plus" being at the top of my list. Serge and Jane Birkin must have come out with some songs in English as well.

Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" is always good. There is a French version of "Let the Good Times Roll" by a beaujolais group, who translate it literally (and poorly) as "Laissez les bons temps roulez".

The French have remade hundreds of American pop songs, but most of them are pretty forgettable to be honest with you.
