It varies from year to year with me. Every thanksgiving morning, I wake up and watch the Macy's thanksgiving day parade on tv and sometimes call up my friend, and talk about it with her. Sometimes me and my family and my friend ( same one as on phone) go to the city and see the parade. In the past I have also had dinner at their house, and have even went up to Aunt's in Jersey, and saw some cousins. These passed two years I've went with my dad to this beautiful mansion restaurant thing. This year we might try a different restaurant. I will be watching the parade on tv this year. I am excited! we always have turkey, mashed potatos, corn, cornbread, gravy of course, sometimes applesauce... and some other stuff.

In my country, Thanksgiving Day is a very special day and is a day to spend between family. What we use to do is a big family reunion with a lot of food ( the traditional turkey, stuffed with bacon, ground beef and ham or stuffed with mofongo and ground beef; rice with pigeon peas, potato salad, "guineitos en escabeche", pumpkin or apple pie,...) ; we give thanks to God for all that we have and for being together; and listen to music out loud because for us Christmas begins. I love this season of the year!

WELL WE COME TOGETHER AND HOLD HANDS AROUND THE TABLE AND SAY WHAT WE'RE THANKFUL FOR. THEN WE EAT A WHOLE BUNCH AND THEN I GO TO ONE OF MY FRIENDS HOUSE AND EAT THERE TOO. I JUST GAIN ALOT OF WEIGHT. BUT IT'S FUN THOUGH.
