i was saying goodbye to a coworker i told him to take care of that
that crap he had not been feeling good for a while. he must have been talking to other coworkers and I did not realize that he was talking to other coworkers. he told me "you did not have to jump all over my *** in front of everyone"! and then he walked away very upset. will he talk to me again?

what did you mean by crap more info needed if you want a good answer.i think it was the word crap. but don't know until you explain crap

I would simply give him a day to cool off and approach him apologetically. I would simply say that what you said was taken out of context and that you apologize for not thinking about how what you were saying could be interpreted by your other co-workers.
After that I would just leave and let it be. If he chooses to remain upset, then let him. It's really no longer your responsibility to fix the situation once you apologize. At that time move on and don't fixate on what he may or may not think of you. With time any hard feelings will disappear. It just may take some time.

Well, I am not sure what you meant by crap. However, if you feel bad the best thing to do is offer a sincere apology. It is up to the coworker whether he talks to you or not. Just explain you meant nothing by it.

I would suggest talking to him again in private and apologize to him, saying that your comments were out of line. It is up to him to accept your apology.

Sounds like he may have felt he was confiding in you, and then was embaressed when you said something in front of co-workers.
