He's a guy who should be the first-line left winger on that team for the next decade, assuming they keep him under contract. He's quick, he's got great hands, and he understands how plays develop. I guess his lack of size (about 175 pounds) could be considered a weakness, but I don't think it's as big a deal now that the league actually enforces the rules to allow skilled players like Semin room to skate and make plays.

He's got 40-50 goal potential if he plays with the right linemates, although I'm not too sure about his abilities in the defensive end. Either way, he should pan out about as well as you'd expect from a mid-first round choice.

Semin is going to have a great year! He will just continue to feed off of Ovechkin.

Semin is the only guy except Ovechkin that can score. He's also the only guy that can play with Ovechkin.

He's been a nice surprise this year for the Caps!
Just hope he and Ovechkin will stay with the Caps for their entire careers!!

great player, especially for fantasy racking up points like crazy with Ovy on the opposite wing.
