I had to chase one out of my pool this morning. Really annoyed the hell out of me.

Right then,
There have been a few answers so far, and a few are close.
All of the UKs submarine fleet have their homeport at HMS Neptune, which is better known as Faslane, on the Clyde.
The nuclear missiles are loaded onto the larger boats at a place called Coulport, also on the Clyde.
A mention was made earlier to the Holy Loch. This was in fact a US submarine base during the cold war, and has been long since withdrawn.
You may well see some submarines in Devonport, or Portsmouth, but their "Homeport" is actualy Faslane.

I live on the coast of North Carolina in the USA. The
water depth where I live is very shallow, and there are
no submarines docked or in transit through here, UK
or otherwise. Your best bet for seeing UK subs is via
photos on the Internet.

None of your answers are correct. They are docked in Oban, Scotland up in the Kyles of Bute. Some are docked down south but only for strategic reasons.

With a name like yours I don't think any British person would tell you. However if you are thinking of using them to go home, and taking all your family, the worlds largest container ship is leaving Felixstowe later next week. Bon voyage.

They usually dock in Naval dockyards.

Some are in the Portsmouth area, or Losiemouth in Jockland.

H.M.S VIGILANT is a nuclear sub and it docks at Faslane in SCOTLAND.Very well guarded as well may I add!
