Ok, I have an honest question to ask that's been bugging me & please let's try to keep this as civil as possible!
Clinton, wasn't scandle free, we had Whitewater & Monica, he lied yes, but no matter what ur personal take, it didnt affect what he was elected to do, that is to say, it was "personal", & had nothing to do w/his job. In fact history shows, he did a great job!
Now here comes "W", who rode in on the promise of a "moral" turnaround, less taxes, smaller gov't, out of foreign entaglements after our work was done, a "Conservative Compassion" was to sweep the country. I bought into it, as many others did! We needed to shake things up, we needed to send a message! Now we have an admin who has been proven over & over to lie almost weekly, on the war, Plame, Rove, Foley, Abramoff, Haliburton, etc But when u talk to Repubs they won't debate the facts & still act like what Clinton did was worse & don't hold Repubs accountable for any of this?
Why the double standard?

yeah, I would agree if I was only seeing it in "ads" but I mean some of these people are so brainwashed its scary. I still have people telling me we went into Iraq because saddam had WMDs! I mean c'mon, hasn't that been disproved a million times over? Its just scary. At this point I don't consider myself either a Dem or Repub, but lets at least debate the facts here. Some of these people talk about Clinton like he was the sapwn of satan, but when you bring up the mountian of lies this administration has made all they can do is scream "LIBERAL" and run away, it's like they can't debate you on merit! I dont care what side you're on, this is for the good of our country people! Lets call it what it is, this President is the absolute worst we've ever had, regardless of party affiliation!

Excellent question. I believe that corruption has caused Republicans to lose their way. Now they have to create false realities to get elected because they are not serving the people.

I think you question is skewed what lies are you talking about we invaded Iraq with all the same info Congress Kerry, Clinton the UN saw and agreed with, so as far as the lie I don't get it. We have lower taxes. We don't have smaller government or less spending but we all know the democrats would love to spend even more, as far as scandals are concern both parties have them the big difference when there is a hint of scandal Republicans resign (ex Foley, Delay, Livingston) when democrats are involve in scandal they refuse to leave until voted out (Clinton, all the Kennedy's Senator Byrd ex KKK wizard) yes there is a double standard unfortunately it is the democrats that always seem to get a pass on things that would finish most Republicans. I can debate any democrat anytime any place they are easy because all you have to do is lay out facts.

Whitewater? The controversy was a total right-wing fake with the drum beat of the so-call liberal media

Monica? Pretty much a planted agent to embarrassed Clinton for not allowing the Middle East conflict to benefit only a certain group of people.

Republicans are weird. They'd rather crucify Clinton for a bj (like they are not all getting some from little boys and underage girls) than take responsibility for their own screw ups! Cheney never admits to doing anything wrong and looks to point a finger at whoever is standing close by. Even when he shot that old man, he ran and hid in his house and had a cocktail while everyone else went to the hospital with the old guy. It took him three days to make a statement and even then he couldn't own it! He said, "it's not Harry's fault, it's not anyone's fault" like the old guy did it to himself!

The problem in this country is apathy, we have a handful of people who are neo cons who vote and vote liars in like the one that's in office now. If you dont vote and dont care, then you deserve what you get. I myself, never voted for the guy or his father and I am glad I didnt!

It is far easier to throw a rock than to lay a foundation. the repubs have nothing constructive (unless you are rich) to talk about so they have to bombard us with their lies and deceptive statements.
i also bought into the scam the first time, but i FOR SURE did not vote for w the second time around.
