That isn't the direction in which Kobe Bryant is wanting to go. He now wants to be recognized as a team leader and a player that can makes others better, not simply pour down the points and pray that the other team is having an off-day. His offensive and defensive abilities have already been recognized, and it is time for Kobe to lead his team to a championship. Besides that, scoring 100 points in an impossible feat taking into the account the modern day era. Wilt Chamberlain had an apparent size advantage which is no longer useful in the NBA's current style of play.

No because Kobe and the Lakers are a better team than last year and well Kobe is in his 11th season this year with a bum knee so its amazing if he plays every game for the rest of the season and Kobe does not have to jack up 40 shots a game like he did last year since Odom and basicly the whole team is better.

Well right now, like it or not, he's the only Laker that can get the ball in the basket at any level of consistency, thats why he scored 81 last year (well that and the Raports sucked last year). When I watch the Lakers play it seems like Kobe'sthe only guy who can really get the job done. I don't see him getting over 100 but he will score over 60 again, thing is how do you hate a ball hog when he has to be one?

if anyone will it would be him, im a suns fan and every game kobe played last year against them he scored a ton of points, i think his high was 88 by the end of the third period but he never took a shot in the 4th, had he come out shooting like he did in the 1st 3 periods he would have scored 100pts

No. I mean unless he plays against some 1st graders I honestly don't think that's going to happen. Basketball should never be played just to break records. Then your more of a person wanting attention then someone who's really into the game.

Seriously...I don't think so. Kobe's a great player, he compares with the best ever to me, but, so many teams now are focused on stopping him ever since the 81. I think he will get 50 multiple times.

If the rest of the Lakers fold to Kobe's selfishness and give him over half of the games shots and they are playing the Raptors or another sorry@$$ pride less team that's going to whipper and just take it, than I don't see why not.

I don't think he will, he will have some good scoring games (individually) but I don't think he'll have a game with more than 70. I honestly believe that he's trying to make his teammates better & have them be more involved in the game. last year when he had that 81pt game, he just had a hot hand and all his shots were going in plus they were playing the raptors, c'mon that should tell u something.
