I befriend the idea brought across in The Matrix. The decision has already been made, but you cannot understand the decision until you live in the moment you made the decision. The factors that influence your decision have already been asessed (those including: emotional state at that time, prior experience and knowledge, and others' influence on you) and the result has been calculated. The general picture is that your life has been decided already, but you must live it in order to realize why you make the decision at that moment.

Free will is therefore an illusion. This idea is hard to grasp, however, because human nature is to want to have control of our own fate.

I think that every choice you make has consequences. Ripples, if you will, that affect you and those around you. Those consequences may be good, or bad. However, you are responsible for what is in front of you. Fate may play a small part in the equation... because what is in front of you may differ entirely from my circumstances... but, ultimately, what you decide and how you carry yourself will determine your outcome. For example... are you a pessimist or an optimist? The pessimist will always see negativity first, therefore coloring their reactions... The Optimist will always see the good first... also coloring thier reactions. If both are faced with the same situation, the outcomes will inevitably differ from one to the next. Life is what you make of it. you want a boat and a house with a white picket fence? Work hard... go to school... and don't be lazy. Opportunities are for the ones who show up to take advantage of them.

There is fate. Then there is the human spirit.

SHORTING OUT

I used to be a live wire
Now I’m shorting out
A fuse has blown inside my head
Nothing is straight, up there
Fate has had a go at me
And not for the first time
It seems, I make a forward step
Then something shoves me back
Do not know why this should be
Just how life goes, right now
I will not let myself give up
For others still need me now.

Really deep down life is down to fate. People would like to believe that they are in charge of their lives. If truly people would have been the "owners" of their lives, there would be no mistakes made, no risks taken. Human nature is funny, so that everyone of us is afraid to make first move, take a risk, make a mistake. So, I believe the fate works through us in mysterious ways to spice up our lives. That is what I believe anyways.

If you picked your life, your life is already down to fate.

I believe in fate, but that does not mean I'll just allow things to fall in place by themselves. You can believe in both. I live out my life according to as I see fit, but I think there is a predetermined plan.

i dont know how right this statement maybe, but im told that when we look at some stars in the night sky they have already "died" dissapeared, and its just the amount of time it take for the light to reach us that we see it , so were seeing a star that died millions of years ago, so dosent it stand to reason that the same applies to earth that billy bob the alien is stood on his plant lookin at earth that died millions of years ago, and that everything you do, say, and the life you have livedor has already been established in time?
