I am auditioning for the musical Annie on Wednesday, and I don't know what part I want to aim for. Can someone give me a description of the main charaters in Annie?

i auditioned for that musical and i got the radio anoucer considering i was moving so they couldn't give me a big part. i actually have the script on my desk as i speak.
annie- an orphan... you should no her
grace- she is warbucks helper. she is the person who goes to adopted annie. mature and kind
warbucks- the owner of annie or the person who wants an orphan for christmas
miss hanigan- she is very mean and loud. she is the orphanager person.
molly- this was who i auditioned for. she is an orphan who is always crying and is very small. one of the lead orphans
lily- is a great one to audition for she is roostor's girlfriend who is miss hanigan's brother. she is flirty and is stuck up. she is blonde headed although she doesn't have to be so she is dumb.
good luck at auditions. remember project your voice and if your smile and act like you have confindence!(even if you dont)

The character you audition for depends on what you want and how you feel as an actress. If you feel that you can play the part of an annie type character, then go for her. If you can play the part of the evil Miss Hannigan, then audition for her. It also depends on which songs fit your range. Often when you audition, it is more important to think about what you CAN play then what you WANT TO play. The director will find the part that suits you, but if you show the director a character that you play best, you'll have a better shot.
